Leighton Jordan, Chris Brant, Cameron Rex LOOK G R E E N W I C H [ 136 ] The 35th polo season at Greenwich Polo Club was highlighted by three highly regarded USPA-tournaments; The Monty Waterbury Cup, the Butler Handicap and the East Coast Open. There was plenty of high-goal polo action and the season ended on a high with The East Coast Open, considered the biggest polo tournament of the summer in the United States. The East Coast Open grew to eight teams this year (six teams played in 2015) and featured an epic fi nal match with 5,500 fans in attendance. After leading by seven goals, defending champion Audi was defeated by Greenwich-based White Birch in a thrilling sudden-death overtime chukker with a goal from 15-year-old Santino Magrini. Fans were also able to live-stream all the East Coast Open polo games on ChukkerTV and the fi nal was broadcast on NBC Sports Network. Not only did fans enjoy action-packed matches, but they also enjoyed the luxurious LOOK VIP tent. Fans were able to have a front row seat to the matches while they enjoyed an open bar, an internationally themed luncheon buff et and an immersive experience with virtual reality and a photo opp, powered by Samsung.
