Christine Danforth This year's Wall Street Challenge was held on September 17th at The Field Club of Greenwich. The event was founded by Marjorie Pastel to honor her Mother, Bette Drymer Shapiro, who passed away in 1998 after a six-year battle with Ovarian Cancer. Proceeds raised from the event will benefi t Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance (OCRFA). OCRFA is the largest global organization dedicated to advancing private ovarian cancer research, advocating for increased federal research and awareness, funding and furthering policies that support women and their families before, during and after a diagnosis. The Wall Street Challenge supports the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance's research eff orts while spreading awareness. During the day, some of Wall Street's fi nest tennis players competed in a round robin tournament. In the early evening, the championship matches were played in front of 250 guests during a festive cocktail party. The guests later enjoyed dinner, dancing, and live and silent auctions. ±ĬĬƋųååƋåĹĹĜŸĘ±ĬĬåĹčå The Wall Street Challenge supports the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance's research efforts while spreading awareness.
